Protecting Those You Love

Rest in Peace is what is said when honoring those that have passed away. However, sometimes others are left to grieve while trying to cope with the financial burden of laying a loved one to rest. This is the worst time to be stressing over finances. Unfortunately, many people do not have the proper coverage to take care of funeral expenses nor are they able to replace the income of a loved one that’s passed.

It is crucial that you have a plan in place to avoid having to figure out a way to respectfully celebrate the life and legacy of your loved ones and yourself. Are you the breadwinner in your family? Are you a stay-at-home spouse? Either way, your passing will have a major impact on the family.

Think about it. The breadwinner’s income is now gone, or the stay-at-home spouse is no longer available to take care of the home/kids. In the case of the stay-at-home spouse’s passing, do you have the resources to be able to now pay someone to take care of the kids? How much time can you take off from work to transition at this difficult time?

This message is not to scare you but only to make sure that these things are considered at a time when you are in a position to properly plan for these unfortunate events. Even if you have a policy in place, is it enough to sustain your family’s current lifestyle?

If you are comfortable with the answers to those questions then I applaud you. If not you should schedule a consultation so that we can review what you have in place and make modifications so that you and your family are properly protected.

Text or call me if you’d like to talk about your options.
